On a side note, there are also a ton of other great features in their free toolkit such as merging PDFs, splitting or merging PDFs, rotating, etc. Overall, I am very satisfied, as is my user. My only complaint is that it doesn't save your selected options such as file format to scan to so you have to select a couple things every time.

However, while most of these free scan to PDF software will help you create high-quality output PDF files for free, there may still be some malware issues or viruses associated with them. Fixes an issue in which HP Multifunction Printers and HP Full Feature Software or HP Basic Driver solutions do not work after you upgrade a computer from Windows Vista to Windows 7. Now it remains with the 'lack of functionality' of the scanner. Everyone loves to hear about a free scan to PDF software that will make your life easier at home or in the office. I wanted a simple process that didn't require opening three different applications and/or converting this way and that. We have network scanners that will scan to network drives and email, but one user did a lot of scanning and didn't want to stand at the copier all day and tie it up. I’m probably unusual in that I use your software for mainly personal scanning. We weren't going to spend any money as it was more of a convenience thing than anything. I love the neat scanner, but the scanning software is terrible. Stating that I have to pay for software that I'm expecting a product to do is an excuse, not a solution. It was very frustrating to try and locate a simple process for scanning to PDFs. Offering a product that does this, such that it advertises it can scan to PDF is misleading, because nobody can use a PDF in which its content can't be searched. Understanding that this issue has been resolved, I wanted to supply some input since I have been through this in the past.
